Our History
Established alongside Severn Run High School in 2024, the Wirewolves competed in our first season, REEFSCAPE, marking the start of our journey. Since then, we have remained dedicated to expanding our program, developing our members, and raising the bar each season. Whether you’re a student, mentor, or supporter, we invite you to join us and be part of our growing story.

In 2025, the WireWolves officially competed in our first FIRST Robotics Competition season, REEFSCAPE. This milestone year marked the true beginning of our journey as a team and laid the foundation for everything that followed. Guided by our founding advisor, Zara Simpson, the WireWolves built not only our first competition robot, but also our team leadership structure, and commitment to collaboration and innovation. Despite being a rookie team, we made a strong impression by earning the prestigious Rookie All-Star Award, recognizing our growth, impact, and potential within the competition.
Building on the lessons, achievements, and momentum from our first season, the WireWolves entered the 2026 season, REBUILT, with a renewed drive to improve and expand our impact. With stronger technical skills, deeper outreach efforts, and a growing team, we aim to go beyond what we accomplished in our rookie year, pushing ourselves to compete at a higher level while continuing to grow as leaders, innovators, and members of the FIRST community.
